The Ramayana
Easy to follow lesson on the Ramayana. Students watch the story and identify examples of good and bad behaviour. They then choose the character that they think best personifies good behaviour and identify examples to support their judgement before writing a speech to explain why their character is the best example of how to behave.

The Tudors: L2 'How different were the Protestant and Catholic churches in Tudor England?'
I use this lesson as introduction to the key differences between the two churches when starting the reformation during Tudor England. It is an easy to follow lesson which starts with a simple spot the difference between the two churches. There is a worksheet included which the students extract information from to complete a table and respond to a written task to collect and record the data needed for the main activity, which is a tripadvisor review whereby the students need to write a review for a catholic church (as if they are a devout protestant). Literacy support and differentiated materials included as well as clear step by step instructions.
Easter lesson: How did people in the past celebrate Easter?
A fun end of tern Easter lesson, which includes students researching either Medieval or Tudor Easter and completing a series of independent activities, such as creating a Tudor or Medieval invitation to an Easter party, a leaflet/ poster setting out how easter was celebrated in the past, decorating a Tudor/ Medieval Egg, word search etc.
The Holocaust: Lesson 3 What was life really like in Auschwitz-Birkenau?
A source based enquiry lesson on the Holocaust. Students analyse a range of sources to help collect information about the conditions and experiences of Holocaust survivors. They use their data to create a diary account using evidence and examples to help explain what life was like in Auschwitz.
